Only by viewing this delightful detached family home, within a short stroll of local amenities and in the heart of the village, will it allow you to appreciate this versatile property which is arranged over two floors. This much improved home with further potential sits within a generous plot with ample outside space and superb garden.

On the ground floor the entrance hall has been opened up to allow natural light and gives access to the downstairs accommodation and stairs to the first floor. The living room features a focal fireplace with hearth and mantle over with a great vantage point to enjoy both the front garden and be able to watch the world go by. A further reception room allows for formal dining, however, has been used by the current owner as a bedroom. This works well as the downstairs shower room (wet room) is close by and offers ‘’Mira’ shower, low level wc, pedastal wash hand basin and a wall mounted stainless steel heated towel rail. The original kitchen and dining room have been knocked through and now has open plan kitchen/diner that is large enough to accommodate both a dining table and a sofa. There are a range of modern wall and base units with under cabinet mood lighting, worktops, stainless steel double sink and drainer unit, space for a cooker, plumbing for dish washer and washing machine. Further storage in the understair cupboard and double glazed patio doors which lead to the conservatory creates a superb family room. The conservatory is double glazed and gives you a full view across the garden, a space which is perfect to relax in all year round.

The first floor has been cleverly reconfigured and now gives a master bedroom with recess space for wardrobes and en-suite shower room, wc, wash hand basin. There is a single bedroom with a Velux window and under eave storage plus a study/ nursery, again with Velux window and further under eave storage.

Externally it offers more than expected, with parking for a number of cars, plus gated parking which brings a sense of security. The garage could be easily reinstated and as it has plumbing, power and electric would lend itself to a hobby room, ‘work from home’ opportunity or just more storage for those larger cumbersome items. There is a further freestanding garden shed... storage is not an issue here! The front garden is open plan with some grass and shrubbery. The rear garden is fully enclosed and mainly laid to lawn and a paved patio area. A strong feature of this family friendly garden is the raised deck area in the corner, with a built in swing and cover for shade, it allows you to imagine kicking back at the end of the day and relaxing whilst enjoying the peace and privacy on hand.

Popular with families and all generations. There is a superb choice of outstanding schools as well as the leisure centre with gym and swimming pool. Transport links along the A38 lead to the M4 and M5 motorway network allowing easy commuting to places including Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and London. Bristol Parkway Train Station is within easy reach giving a further choice of means of travel. Alveston is in South Gloucestershire, England, is a village, civil parish and former manor inhabited in 2014 by about 3000 people. The village lies about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Thornbury and approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Bristol. Alveston is twinned with Courville sur Eure, France. It has a well regarded hotel, a variety of small shops, several parks and fields, two churches and a Hyundai car dealership. Alveston is the gateway to the first Severn Bridge from the A38 road and from Thornbury. It is also the home of Thornbury Cricket Club and Marlwood secondary school. The civil parish also includes the villages of Rudgeway and Earthcott. Just a short car journey away from Thornbury, with its pretty historic high street, modern shopping centre (St Mary's Centre), two large supermarkets and many smaller independent shops. There are excellent Junior and Senior Schools which are highly regarded. We have been proud winners of both Thornbury in Bloom and Britain in Bloom. A farmers market is held monthly, and the food fair is always welcomed. There are several well regarded restaurants including one at Thornbury Castle, also Ronnie's of Thornbury. An annual Carnival is eagerly awaited by all, and there is an active musical theatre group, flower clubs, golf course, sports centre and walking groups. Thornbury offers easy access to both the M4 and the M5, Aztec West, Wales & The Cribbs Causeway.
