This well cared for home in Alveston has been enjoyed for many years by the current owners and has been a fantastic property to raise a family in. Situated on one of Alveston’s favoured roads and within walking distance of well regarded schools and local shops, I am sure it will appeal to any discerning buyers hoping to follow in the footsteps of the current vendors.

Extended on the ground floor and with level gardens to both the front and rear give you just a couple of many reasons to add this property to your viewing list. Arranged over two floors with a welcoming entrance hall. The lounge is a cosy room with a focal fire and hearth to relax in front of. Double doors open onto the open plan kitchen/dining room with a modern range of wall and base units, some integrated appliances, complimentary worktops and a social breakfast bar to gather around when socialising with family and friends. Open through to what is currently used as the family room, the flexibility of the ground floor layout will allow you to customise the use of space to suits your needs. Again flowing nicely from the family room is the conservatory, (my personal favourite spot in the house), from here you can enjoy the view across the well tended garden all year long, what a treat! A cloakroom completes the downstairs accommodation nicely and your imagination could run wild as to how the living space can be used. From the first floor landing, which boasts a generous double storage airing cupboard, are three good sized bedrooms which are all in good decorative order and a family bathroom.

Externally the property sits nicely in the plot, set back with a pretty front garden and ample parking on the driveway plus Covered a good size garage makes the arrangement appealing to households with a number of vehicles. The rear garden with its level lawns has been well tended and features deep established borders bursting with a variety of evergreen shrubs, trees and perennials. Fully enclosed with well placed patios areas for seating from which to enjoy this lovely mature garden.

We would welcome an opportunity to show you all this super home has to offer, call us today on 01454 279734 as viewings are by appointment only.

Alveston is popular with families and all generations. There is a superb choice of schools as well as the leisure centre with gym and swimming pool nearby. Transport links along the A38 lead to the M4 and M5 motorway network allowing easy commuting to places including Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and London. Bristol Parkway Train Station is within easy reach giving a further choice of means of transport. The village lies about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Thornbury and approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Bristol. Alveston is twinned with Courville sur Eure, France. It has a well regarded hotel, a variety of small shops, several parks and fields, two churches and a Hyundai car dealership. Alveston is the gateway to the first Severn Bridge from the A38 road and from Thornbury. It is also the home of Thornbury Cricket Club and Marlwood secondary school. The civil parish also includes the villages of Rudgeway and Earthcott. Just a short car journey away from Thornbury, with its pretty historic high street, modern shopping centre (St Mary's Centre), two large supermarkets and many smaller independent shops. There are excellent Junior and Senior Schools which are highly regarded. We have been proud winners of both Thornbury in Bloom and Britain in Bloom. A farmers market is held monthly, and the food fair is always welcomed. There are several well regarded restaurants including one at Thornbury Castle, also Ronnie's of Thornbury, and the Indian restaurant Romy's Kitchen, with Romy Gill as chef and owner. An annual Carnival is eagerly awaited by all, and there is an active musical theatre group, flower clubs, golf course, sports centre and walking groups. Thornbury offers easy access to  both the M4 and the M5, Aztec West, Wales & The Cribbs Causeway.
